Learning something everyday

jankyEvery day when I went to school my father said a classic Dad-thing: “Learn something,” triggering me to roll my eyes.

Somewhat older and wiser today, I learned a new word from, of all places, the daily NY Times online crossword puzzle (above), “janky.”

Of inferior quality.

I never came across that word.

Is your LinkedIn profile janky? Have you taken to heart some or many of my daily techniques and tips?

I for one am learning something useful and beneficial and new daily.

Here’s an idea: make your new-tidbit-a-day something from LinkedIn that you can use to make your profile less janky. Query the Help Center.

You can find it at the top right corner of your LinkedIn screen, by mousing over your tiny headshot photo and selecting Help Center to ask it a question.

I hope you that you will return there often, if not daily…
