Typos and grammar errors on #LinkedIn profile

stainDid you recently notice someone with a stain on their shirt?

It’s all you can focus on, to the exclusion of all else they say or do.

And you immediately make assumptions about their care for detail, as well as their worthiness as a {business partner, colleague, job candidate, fill in the blank}.

We “buy” with our eyes.

So it is with your LinkedIn profile and all your updates and contributions to your connections.

No errors.

Typos can be (mostly) fixed with Word. Warning: Word is not perfect.

Grammar can be fixed with an add-on to your Microsoft Office suite called Grammarly. Or with a fresh reading out loud. If you stumble as you read it out loud, it’s not easy to understand and needs more work.

In all you do, place the reader in the right comfort zone of you as a worthy colleague.
